clarisse demory

Stylist Clarisse Demory creates perfectly undone spaces.

My favorite challenge is to succed in saving, optimizing and promoting everything that is in the original place instead of transforming it, it’s more economical and ecological. Composing with little defects can push us beyond automatic reflexes in term of taste and push us creatively while keeping a bite with the story of the place.

You can see more of her on her blog, Ensuite. She's also been interviewed about her work on Parisian bento cafe Nanashi, here.

Her work sits somewhat close to that of Cheri Messerli, of Scout Holiday.

I like the use of pastel colours, organic prints and found objects, a deference to the philosophy of wabi-sabi, the lightness.
