CLOSED: black magic woman

Leave a comment on this post to win this beautiful set of Lonely lingerie.

I have one too.
My boyfriend calls it the sexy spider.
Mesh & velvet.
It's very Stevie Nicks.

Competition ends midnight on Valentine's Day, New Zealand time.

Love is all you need.
And lingerie.

Update: Competition is now closed, congratulations to Louise Garland.

  1. "Lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stu[uu]ff!" My boyfriend thinks those lyrics are "creepy"; I think they are hot. Like these underpinnings! Thanks for the giveaway. I love your blog. (genevievelisecasey[@]gmail)

But I'm gonna give it a real good try/
because nothing comes close and nothing can compare/

  10. As often-times the too resplendent sun
Hurries the pallid and reluctant moon
Back to her sombre cave, ere she hath won
A single ballad from the nightingale,
So doth thy Beauty make my lips to fail,
And all my sweetest singing out of tune.

And as at dawn across the level mead
On wings impetuous some wind will come,
And with its too harsh kisses break the reed
Which was its only instrument of song,
So my too stormy passions work me wrong,
And for excess of Love my Love is dumb.

But surely unto Thee mine eyes did show
    Why I am silent, and my lute unstrung;
Else it were better we should part, and go,
Thou to some lips of sweeter melody,
And I to nurse the barren memory
Of unkissed kisses, and songs never sung.

    - Silentium Amoris by Oscar Wilde

  11. I have nothing genius, romantic or insightful to say. But I can tell you that my Boyfriend of 7 years has NEVER bought me anything for Valentines Day. Ever. You'd think after 6 years in the dog-box [we met in March, lucky escape for him] he would've got me something...

Although, he does always write hidden lovenotes in my writing pads/notebooks/journals for me to discover god-knows-when...

  13. I've been looking all over Melbourne but none are left, am considering buying the too-big set I found on eBay. I don't think I deserve this based on the more eloquent comments above but if it's a random draw then I'll keep my fingers crossed..

  16. I don't really get into Valentines Day, but it does make me think of the lovely things that my boyfriend does, almost without thinking, such as eating all of the orange jellybeans because he knows that I don't like them.

  26. Chaucer once wrote of Valentine's Day,
For this was on seynt Volantynys day
Whan euery bryd comyth there to chese his make.
("For this was Saint Valentine's Day, when every bird cometh there to choose his mate.")

He wrote about lingerie, clothing the Wife of Bath in slight clothing. The connection between love, Valentines and lingerie is ancient and everlasting.

  29. this set is a great mix of naughty and chic...s & m pin-up + minimalism. it looks flattering to multiple body types, too. i would also rock the bra with some type of high-waisted bottom and a scoop/open-necked top to show off the awesome strap details. or be real awesome and wear the bra with baggy jeans, open flannel and backwards baseball cap - rayanne steez :)

  30. Beautiful, I'd be very happy to win this (and might have to find a decent way to wear the bra outside)!
